Our Autumn/Winter 2017 catalogue is due to launch this August with stock arriving from September.
Our Design Team obviously couldn't wait until then to show you so they have given us a little "behind the scenes" of where the range started and its development over the last 12-18 months....
The process:
Each new season starts with extensive research into the market and future trends. From this, we then define our own key trends for Lighting and create mood boards that feed into each product range.
Sometimes, these trends and mood boards translate effortlessly into product but other times we can get halfway through the development and feel that something isn’t quite working and decide to drop the trend/look all together - it's all part of the exciting design process!
For AW17 we have 3 major trends that have heavily influenced our concept development:
Wanderlust: Elegant and moody. A lair full of mixed metals and rich, dark, velvety tones that create a dramatic, luxurious look.
Hygge: Rustic, comfortable and warm. Enter the calming cocoon of Hygge and be brought back to basics with natural shapes, clays, hand painting and textured materials. Bring out your inner caveman, kick out the mass produced styled products and invite imperfection.
Nordic Escape: A softened Nordic style. Escape into our simplistic, minimal, well made designs - typical of Nordic styling. Our Scandi designs feature pastel colours, angular shapes, origami and a mixture of glosses and matts. A blissful escape.
